Bruce McGregor

Bruce McGregor is a former Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney (1983- 1987). During his tenure in the District Attorney’s office, Mr. McGregor was a member of the elite Hardcore Gang Trial unit, handling several cases that received considerable media attention. He graduated from Old Dominion University in Virginia in 1972, and from Northrop School of Law in Los Angeles in 1983. Mr. McGregor has been politically active in Los Angeles County politics for the past twenty years. He is a founding member of the Benjamin Aranda II American Inns of Court. He has been designated a Master Trial Lawyer and Lawyer Emeritus by the American Inns of Court. Mr. McGregor is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the South Bay Bar Association and the Harbor Bar Association.

Robert Ernenwein

Robert Ernenwein is a former Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney (1984-1987). Mr. Ernenwein is a Certified Criminal Law Specialist as certified by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, and the California Public Defenders Association. Mr. Ernenwein graduated from Manhattan College in New York City in 1981, and from Whittier College School of Law in 1984. While in law school, Mr. Ernenwein was a member of the Law Review, the Moot Court Honors Board, and Phi Alpha Delta Law Society. He was also Whittier Law School's Student Bar Association President in 1984. After graduation, he was elected President of the Alumni Association in 1993 and voted Whittier College School of Law Alumni of the Year for 1993. Mr. Ernenwein has been a regular legal commentator for FOX News, KTLA Los Angeles television, CNN's Burden of Proof with Greta Van Sustern and Court TV. In 2005, he was elected a Southern California Super Lawyer by Los Angeles Magazine.

Conrad Barrington

Conrad Barrington is the primary associate with the firm of McGregor & Ernenwein. He graduated from Rice University in 2000. He attended Whittier Law School on a Full Dean's Merit Scholarship, and he graduated in the top 5% of his class in 2003. In law school, Mr. Barrington was a member of the Law Review, and his article, "PhRMA v. Concannon and Maine's Prescription Rebate Statute" was published in the Summer 2002 issue of the Whittier Law Review. He served as a law clerk for Judge David Workman in the Los Angeles Superior Court in 2001, and later, for Presiding Justice David G. Sills in the Court of Appeal for the Fourth Appellate District, Division Three in Santa Ana. Mr. Barrington has been certified on the Basic Science of Evidential Breath Alcohol Testing by the manufacturer of breath alcohol testing equipment in Mansfield, Ohio. He has been trained to operate and calibrate the Datamaster.cdm breath alcohol testing device, which is the primary chemical breath testing machine used in Los Angeles County. He is also certified to operate and calibrate the Alco-Sensor IV preliminary alcohol screening (PAS) device. Mr. Barrington has been certified to conduct standardized DUI field sobriety tests by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Jill Veglahn

Jill Veglahn is our office manager, and works as the direct assistant to the attorneys in the firm. She grew up in Northern California and attended California State University of Hayward as a Psychology major. Ms. Veglahn is also a Certified Notary Public in the state of California. She is in regular contact with the courts, local arresting agencies, the Department of Motor Vehicles, and many other agencies involved in the defense of your case. She regularly files legal motions and serves subpoenas, and she also manages the accounting for the firm.

Nicole Amador

Nicole Amador is the firm’s legal assistant. Ms. Amador was born and raised in the South Bay area. She attended California State University, Monterey Bay as a business major. She regularly prepares subpoenas and motions for our clients, and acts a liaison between the courts and our firm.

 

 

Carmen Curti

After working as a business analyst for Dun & Bradstreet, a credit reporting agency, for fourteen years and as a financial specialist for Republic Bank for another fourteen years, Carmen was recruited by McGregor & Ernenwein in December of 1999 to provide office assistance and billing support. Carmen specializes in client relations and can assist you with many questions and concerns throughout your case.
