Myotonic Dystrophy Can Be Confused with California DUI

Due to the public perceptions surrounding California DUI cases, people arrested for driving under the influence are often considered guilty until proven innocent. The truth is that police often make false or unwarranted arrests.

Police can make many mistakes during a California DUI arrest. They may misuse elements of roadside sobriety tests, incorrectly administer blood alcohol tests, or simply arrest someone on the suspicion of driving under the influence without proof.
