Recent Case Wins

Our client, a longshoreman with no criminal record, was charged with California Vehicle Code Section 20002, commonly known as Hit and Run.  It was our contention that our client was not involved in any accident and, therefore, had no statutory duty to stop at the scene or provide his information, as required by same statute.  The insurance adjuster expressed his suspicion about the complaining witness' version of the events. After assiduous defense work on our part, our South Bay cities criminal defense lawyers were able to convince the prosecutor to have the Hit and Run case dismissed.  

Our client pleaded to one (1) of two charged simple infractions (i.e., non-criminal, non-misdemeanor offense). Our Long Beach criminal defense lawyer, Torrance criminal defense lawyer verified that the infraction to which our client would plea would not be able to be used against him in a negligent operator hearing, as the other infraction would have been able to be used against him in such a hearing.  Ultimately, three counts, including the Hit and Run, were dismissed.  Our client was able to avoid a criminal conviction or jail time.
