DISMISSAL OF FELONY POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS WITHOUT A PRESCRIPTION

The representation of juvenile offenders is a large part of our practice.  The Inglewood and Long Beach Juvenile Courts
are regular stops for our attorneys. 

Recently, we represented a young man charged with felony possession of narcotics without prescription.  A juvenile adjudication (conviction) could have derailed this young man's life and his plans to go to college.  However, our Long Beach Juvenile Court and Inglewood Juvenile Court criminal defense lawyers negotiated with the prosecutor and reached an agreement that the minor could be placed on Informal Diversion.  This diversion program is allowable under Welfare and Institutions Code Section 654.2.  After a few court appearances for progress reports to make sure the minor was on a straight path, the case was ultimately dismissed.
