Dismissal of Felony Assault with a Vehicle

Our client was involved in a dispute in a parking lot. This dispute ended up in my client being accused of intentionally attempting to strike the complaining witness with his car.

Our client was originally booked on a felony "assault with a vehicle" charge which carried up to a possible four year state prison sentence and a lifetime revocation of his driving privilege. The case was ultimately rejected for both felony and misdemeanor filing. The case was set for an office hearing, which is an informal method by which to settle the case without any criminal prosecution conviction. I recently attended the office conference and after hearing from my client and I, the hearing officer agreed to dismiss the case. No action was taken against the client's driving privilege and his license remains fully in effect. During the three months that I represented the client, I maintained regular communication with him and we worked together to obtain this great result.
